WINEMAKER’S NOTES

The Cane Cut is made from Riesling and is the third sweet white in our Backyard Stories range of wines. It reflects our winemaking skills and commitment to finding the best fruit and applying simple, traditional winemaking techniques to deliver what we believe is a fine example of a style whilst remaining classical of the Margaret River region and the quality it delivers.

TASTING NOTES

Colour: Pale straw lemon green in the glass. Aroma: Lifted perfumed Riesling fruit aromas with a hint of lime

Palate: Genuinely luscious, with fine mouth filling flavours of tropical fruits. Some tangy fruit characters are balanced with plenty of acidity. Well balanced with a mouth-watering sherbet like finish leaves you asking for more.

Food matching: Best as an aperitif after a long day.

Cellaring: Best as now, but medium term in cool storage will see further complexity develop.
